My friend, Dutch/American Boom Chicago comedian, Greg Shapiro is the host of a show called ‘The United States of Europe‘. It is set up as a lower budget local version of Jon Stewarts infamous Daily Show, the goal of the program is to make European politics sexy. Greg is surprised that the fact Europe has a new president, doesn’t even make the frontpapers. He has a very interesting interview with a former student in European Politics (who’s also my former NCRV-radio colleague) Edo Berger, who currently works as a comedian that tries to make people more media savvy.
If The United States of Europe will ever succeed in making European politics sexy, isn’t sure. But it does make a charming effort. I surely enjoyed watching it.
